Mabel Macmillan

Mabel is a human rights advocate committed to fighting for vulnerable and underserved communities. Graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BA and an MA in Criminal Justice, Criminology and Psychology from Northeastern University, she has gone on to work with individuals experiencing homelessness, offending, substance misuse and those living with mental illness. Focusing on those marginalized or ignored by society, Mabel has been involved in direct service work, outreach programs, and policy advocacy, striving to create better social resources and public understanding.


Mabel worked with the Innocence Project, fighting for those wrongfully convicted and pushing for reform in the criminal justice system. In addition, she worked alongside lawyers and victim advocates at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, contributing to efforts in white-collar crime prosecution, advocating for legislative change and holding powerful entities, law enforcement officials and private citizens accountable.


Mabel has worked with various charities focussed on educating the public regarding the challenges faced by women on the international stage.
