Masooma Nasiri, a former 12th grader at Marefat High School in Kabul, Afghanistan, was forced to flee her country when the Taliban took over. Currently studying grade 12 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she works part-time and actively participates in the mental health support group, Group Peer Support, with the goal of leading a mental health in initiative for Afghan women and girls.
An avid reader and guitar player, Masooma aspires to be a clinical psychologist, with a special focus on those suffering from ADHD.
