Lia Kisel serves as the Language and Settlement Director at Jewish Immigrant Aid Services (JIAS) Toronto, an organization dedicated to providing settlement services to immigrants and refugees.
In her role, Lia has been instrumental in facilitating the immigration and settlement of refugees from various regions, including Eritrea and Syria. She has coordinated private sponsorships and provided essential settlement services to these individuals upon their arrival in Canada.
Under her leadership, JIAS Toronto has collaborated with numerous Jewish groups and synagogues to sponsor refugee families, ensuring they receive comprehensive support during their resettlement process.
Lia's commitment to supporting refugees and immigrants has significantly contributed to JIAS Toronto's mission of building a strong, inclusive Canada that values all newcomers.
